Next Steps: How a Disability Appeal Planning Session Works

Every Disability Appeal Planning Session starts with a free denial letter review. To get started, we’ll need:
- a copy of your denial letter from the insurance company, and
- some background information about your claim.
When we receive your information, we’ll begin our initial review, which normally takes 2-3 business days. We’ll send you a report about what we see as your next steps for a successful appeal and a detailed description of what we’ll cover in your personalized Disability Appeal Planning Session. We’ll identify areas where we think you will need to dispute the insurance company’s version of your claim, as well as places where we think you’ll need to add additional evidence. There is no charge or obligation for this initial Denial Letter Review and report.
When you choose to move forward with us, we’ll send you a link to pay the $495 Disability Appeal Planning Session fee and then schedule a time to hold the Planning Session via telephone or video conference, whichever you prefer.
After the Disability Appeal Planning Session, we will email you an initial draft of your disability appeal letter, customized for your claim. We’ll include the details we discussed in the Disability Appeal Planning Session and identify the areas where you will add additional evidence. We’ll give you letters to share with your doctors about how they can best support your appeal. You will leave the Disability Appeal Planning Session with clear, practical guidance for what steps to take next to build and submit your appeal. If all goes according to plan, you’ll only need to sign and date your disability appeal letter, finalize your list of attachments, and send the appeal package to the insurance company.
If you need or want more help with your appeal after the Disability Appeal Planning Session, we’ll discuss the different options we offer for that, too.
